Problem Note 43672: SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager is unable to find a SAS process after the process identifier has been changed in SAS® Management Console
A decision diagram or campaign returns the following error during execution when it is unable to find the process associated with one of its process nodes:
The diagram failed to generate correctly.
Method process_name of activity process_name referenced by
activity node node_ID in flow flow_ID does not exist.
This problem occurs whenever the process ID has been changed in the process properties in SAS Management Console Customer Intelligence Plug-in. The process ID is the name of the file that contains the SAS process code.
To change the process ID without receiving this error, use these steps to delete any existing processes that use the old process ID:
- Start SAS Management Console.
- Select Application Management Customer Intelligence ► Application Resources ► Decision ► Processes.
- Highlight each of the processes that you want to delete, right-click, and select Delete.
Next, define new processes in the plug-in that refer to the new process ID, as follows:
- Highlight Processes, right-click, and select New SAS Process.
- Enter the new information in the SAS Process Properties dialog box and click Save.
- Edit any nodes that used the now-deleted processes. Substitute the new processes for the old ones.
